The Law Office of Lorilei W. is a values-based entrepreneurship committed to providing legal services to immigrants and queer people in Texas, and leading advocates to be trauma-informed and antiracist in their advocacy using systems and design thinking tools and frameworks.

Lorilei W. is an attorney with over a decade of nonprofit experiences ranging from volunteer to director at numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Southern Poverty Law Center, Legal Services NYC, and various Catholic Charities organizations. Lorilei has been a strategic accomplice to migrants across the nation, including in rural farms in Upstate NY, migrant camps in Tijuana, and multiple detention settings, from unaccompanied minors shelters to rural for-profit mass incarceration facilities in the Deep South.
Lorilei continues to practice immigration and LGBTQIA+ law as a solo practitioner. Lorilei also shares their expertise as a recurring guest lecturer for law schools, law conferences, and community events, in addition to having served as an adjunct professor for the New York Law School Asylum Clinic. Lorilei is frequently invited by legal services organizations and professional associations across the nation to train advocates in trauma-informed advocacy, communication, and supervision. Lorilei is admitted to the state bars of New York and Texas, the US Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, and the Southern and Eastern Federal District Courts of New York. They are a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and the University of Maryland. |
